Google Consent Mode V2 Setup - £400
Data's changing, again.
The Digital Markets Act is making Google liable for the data their tags gather.

From March 6th, 2024, your Analytics and Ads tags will change their behaviour to rely on strict consent parameters, instead of relying on you to be compliant yourself.

If you're not currently compliant, that means you stand to lose a lot of data. And if you are compliant the new tag behaviour will mean you're getting more data than right now.

Here's how we get it sorted.
1
Install Cookiebot
One of the only Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) which is directly compatible with Consent Mode V2, along with fantastic automatic tagging to get you full compliant across the board.

This can be done without devs if you only have Google Tags, for anything else we use a hybrid installation.
2
Configure your Banner
Your banner, cookie categorisation, and functionality can all be edited within the Cookiebot interface.
3
Configure your Google Tags
Here's the hard part, but luckily Cookiebot have documented the process pretty in-depth.

We work through each of your existing tags, checking their current behaviour and ensuring they track your users' consent state. This lets them fire fully when consented, and fire partially when not, preserving some of that lost conversion data.
4
Test and Review
We spend the next few weeks closely monitoring your conversions, your pageviews vs. user drops, and make sure you're gaining as much intelligence as possible without putting the company at a compliance risk.
I've spent the past decade making clients a pretty reasonable amount of money across the entire marketing mix.
